Diving Into AP Precalculus (July, 2023)
Diving In To AP Precalculus is a companion piece to the new AP Precalculus Manual. It provides quizzes for every topic and is in the same order as the manual.
For each topic, there are 4 multiple-choice problems and one free-response problem containing subparts. The goal of Diving In is to let students know that precalculus is not just procedural - they must understand theory and concepts. The free-response problems are created quite similarly to AP calculus exam free-response problems with an answer to one subpart being used in in a subsequent subpart. However, Diving In questions only test knowledge taught up to that point in the course, while AP exam free-response questions typically are global to the entire course.
Problems are constructed with and without calculator use, similar to the types of questions that will be on the AP precalculus exam..
The student version with its 46-quiz set, like most of the material on MasterMathMentor is FREE. They are provided as web downloads in PDF format.

Solutions
The solution version gives not only the solutions but includes guidelines to grade these quizzes using a consistent scale similar to that of the AP Precalculus exam. The goal is for students to understand the content, format and difficulty level of the exam and how it is graded.
