I am a retired teacher of mathematics, having taught at Wissahickon High School in Ambler, Pa for 35 years. I taught Advanced Placement Calculus and AP® Statistics at Wissahickon as well as prospective teachers on preparing for the Mathematics Praxis Test for the Philadelphia School District. I taught part-time at Abington Friends School in Jenkintown, Pa., Acadia University, Montgomery County College, and Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, (Calculus and Statistics) as well as Broward College in Pompano Beach, Florida, and have had three books published by REA, one on preparing for the AP® Calculus exam.
I am the recipient of the 2003 Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence, the highest honor that a teacher can receive in the United States. Even in semi-retirement, I still am committed to teaching students, young and old, the beauty and importance of mathematics and I still love the subject.
Over the many years of teaching, I have accumulated many exams, worksheets, and projects in many courses. Most of these materials are in electronic form. It makes little sense to pack these material in boxes, never to see the light of day again. I like to think that I am older and wiser about preparing students for the AP® exam and I have written a number of new booklets to help teachers teach and students learn. It is my wish that teachers and students have the opportunity to avail themselves to these resources, most of them free of charge, and improve on them. My favorite pastime is going on cruises and sitting on the deck, creating new math resources for this website. I love math!
Teachers and students should feel free to contact me in order to start a dialogue on the best way to communicate and learn mathematics.

I grew up loving people, computers and mathematics... come to think of it, I still do. Early on I developed automated software for grading practice SAT® exams, designed a Balanced Scorecard system for corporate management, and developed warehousing solutions for Comcast and other vendors. My consulting career has also included software development for Verizon Wireless, Aventis, IBM, and other Fortune 500 companies. Late in my career I helped build Trella Health, LLC from the ground up... and haven't left yet because it is defintiely one of the best places to work! Currently I live in Lansdale, PA with my wife and Havanese and a mostly empty house where 5 kids used to live and grandkids are starting to visit.
As much as I love Calculus and start-ups, I must admit my new passion is to address economic oppression by reducing unemployment in Machakos, Kenya. Hey, if you ever want to talk about any of these topics or life lessons along this journey, feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn.
